Stage 1 is great for yogurts and purees, while Stage 2 easily scoops up thicker foods like oatmeal. When baby can handle more solid foods, the Stage 3 spoon is perfect for foods like mashed veggies. Baby’s First Spoons are designed to be easy for baby to grasp and hold.

Stage 1: Spoon head has lots of small thin bristles for practicing dipping and teething. This spoon is great for more liquid foods like baby cereal.
Stage 2: Spoon head has thicker raised bristles to practicing scooping and is great for thicker foods like yogurt.
Stage 3: the spoon head has an open space for soft, thicker foods like steamed veggies or avocado. Also, this spoon can be used to mash steamed foods on baby’s highchair.
Short textured silicone handles allow baby to get a firm grip.
