NEX Customers Test Hottest New Toys

NAVSUP LogoNEX Guam, Yokosuka, Norfolk, San Diego, Oceana, Pearl Harbor, Little Creek and Jacksonville hosted a toy test drive for military children to preview the 18 hottest toys for the holiday season, on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Customers and their children had the opportunity to play with the new toys before the holiday season and rate their favorites with either a “WOO-HOO” to “Ho-Hum” based on smiley and sad faces. The dinosaur toys were the most popular, like the Jurassic World playsets. Other hot items included the Thunderhawk blaster, Corkscrew Crash and the interactive nature of the Rocktopus. At NEX Norfolk, Va., Harper, age 4, exclaimed, “Oh my gosh, I love the Barbie horse. Take a picture so you can add it to my Christmas list!" "She loves Barbie and horses, and loved how interactive the toy is,” said Lee Ann, Harper’s mom.

This was a great opportunity for kids and their parents alike to enjoy some quality time and begin creating their holiday wish list. Excitement ran throughout the stores as children developed new skills and let their imagination soar as they played. “I was elated to hear the laughter and see the joy on their faces as each new toy was revealed,” said Jennifer McComas, General Manager, NEX Norfolk. “The most endearing little boy ran up to me with a huge smile on his face telling me that he woo-hoo’ed the Walking Villain Dino.”
