The Navy Exchange Service Command hosted the Honorable H.E. Jose Manuel G. Romualdez, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the United States of America, at its headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va., on Friday, Oct. 5.
The afternoon’s discussion focused on cooperative efforts and future opportunities between NEXCOM and the Defense Commissary Agency and Philippine-made products. All parties agreed to continue to work together on initiatives including the procurement, distribution, marketing and promotion prospects for a variety of Philippine goods.
“We were pleased to host Ambassador Romualdez and his economic team, to show them our robust and diverse marketing strategies focused on creative and new ways to reach our everchanging customer base,” said retired Rear Adm. Robert J. Bianchi, CEO, NEXCOM and DoD special assistant for commissary operations. “The visit was a great opportunity to cultivate coupled ideas and efforts to provide and deliver Philippine products to our deserving NEX and commissary customers.”
