Navy Lodge Monterey To Expand/Renovate Lobby

NAVSUP LogoNavy Lodge Monterey, Calif., will undergo a $2.4 million renovation and expansion of its lobby. The renovation includes a 1, 380 sq. ft. expansion of the lobby area that will create a breakfast and reception area and an outdoor relaxation zone. The new floorplan takes the lobby from a place of transaction to a place of relaxation and interaction for guests. The expansion/renovation is expected to be completed in Summer 2019

“We want Navy Lodge Monterey to be our guests’ first choice when looking for a place to stay when away from home, either on permanent change of station orders, vacation or on a business trip,” said Mike Bockelman, Vice President, Navy Exchange Service Command’s (NEXCOM) Navy Lodge Program. “Navy Lodge modernizations have evolved based on our guest needs and their desire for a more flexible space to work and relax.”

Navy Lodge guests will find family suites that feature oversized rooms with living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen and flat screen televisions with cable and DVD player. On-site amenities include guest laundry facilities, vending machines as well as children’s outside play area and workout room at many locations. Navy Lodges offer free Wi-Fi, breakfast and newspapers as well as weekly Manager Receptions. All Navy Lodges are handicapped accessible. As an added convenience, dogs and cats up to 70 pounds in weight can stay at most Navy Lodges when traveling with its owner. Guests need to contact the specific Navy Lodge regarding pet policies.
