The Apple Mac mini now features the M2 chip, making it ideal for everything from presentations to gaming and intensive tasks like editing 8K ProRes videos. The M2 integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single SoC using 2nd-Gen 5nm technology. Compared to the M1 Mac mini, it can transcode ProRes video in Final Cut Pro up to 2.4x faster and handle up to two streams of 8K ProRes 422 video at 30 fps, or twelve streams of 4K ProRes 422 video at 30 fps. Adobe Photoshop performance is boosted by up to 50%. This is due to the M2's next-gen CPU, GPU, higher bandwidth memory, and powerful media engine with an advanced thermal system. Additionally, it includes 16GB of RAM and Wi-Fi 6E for wireless speeds up to 2.4 Gb/s.
